So what is backlinking and why is it important? Creating backlinks to your blog or website will increase the amount of traffic that you receive and therefore help your search engine rankings. The more backlinks you have out there, the more traffic you drive back to your site.
1) One of the best ways to create backlinks is to Bookmark and Share your content through OnlyWire. By having the Bookmark and Share button installed on your blog or in your web browser, you can submit your content to right around 25 of the hottest social sites on the internet with one push of a button. You simply set your accounts up 1 time with the various sites and you never have to worry about it again. (other than a couple that you have to “finalize” by entering a captcha code)
2) You want to backlink to your blog or website when you are doing any kind of content marketing; i.e. video or article marketing. When you post a video, put your link in the beginning of the description box so people can simply click and go, and when you are posting articles, put your link in the resource box. This is EXTREMELY effective if you are using a tool and blasting different versions of your article out to 200-300 directories in a matter of 30-40 minutes.
3) You can also create backlinks by taking a small portion of your marketing time throughout the day to comment on fellow Network Marketers blogs. (or bloggers in your niche) When you go to post a comment, a box will pop up asking for your name, email and website address. After you submit your comment a link will appear with your last blog post so people can go check you out. And you don’t have to spam! When you do try to spam it is most likely that the author of that website will flag it anyway and it won’t be accepted.
4) Make your blog your primary website from your Facebook profile. Your new friends are going to go see what you are up to and more than likely going to click on the first link that you have up. You will also want to share your link in some of your tweets on Twitter.
5) You could also “team up” with fellow bloggers within your network and backlink to each others sites by leaving comments. The more comments you get on your blog, the more google likes it.
Do this every day for 20-30 minutes a day and watch your Alexa score get lower and lower and conversions get higher and higher.
Final Tip: Make sure that the content that you are posting is something that people will actually want to link back to.
